Sent to live with Count Olaf, a distant relative, their unsettled lives take a turn for the worse.
A Series of Unfortunate Events is unique in having sort of an anti-moral at its core: Don’t grow up to be the well-meaning adult who follows the rules of society. Don’t underestimate children. Read widely. And above all, think for yourself.
