Video Summary
This book is about Z, a robot who decides to find out what love means after discovering a message in a bottle signed, “Love, Beatrice”. When the other robots don’t know what love is, Z goes on a quest to find Beatrice and find out. Along the way, Z asks many animals and people what love is. Until they stop at a house and meet Beatrice! Beatrice says, “love is difficult to explain” but “you’ll know it when you feel it.” That night, robots show up at Beatrice’s house looking for Z. They were so worried about him! It was a feeling Z had felt many times before, but this time it had a name.
Video Instructions
Video #1: For a more in depth understanding of the books, we have provided a video retelling an in-class story. Each pass through the text or illustrations allows students to dive deeper into the story’s meaning, preparing them for more complex narratives down the road.
Video #2 & Worksheet: Parents may print the worksheet corresponding to the story. In the second video, Ms Liann will guide students through completing the worksheet. Younger students will learn the appropriate sizes, shapes, and sounds of letters. Older students will learn the spelling of new words, helpful phonics rules, and how to write in complete sentences.
