Video Summary
Meg is a boxitect, she loves to make things out of boxes! Meg’s mother decides to send her to Maker School where all the kids specialize in building things. Meg loves everything about Maker School… until Simone shows up. Simone is also a boxitect and the two are very competitive, always pointing out flaws in each other’s work. One day, during the Maker Match competition, Meg and Simone must work together! However, they argue over what to make, and instead build separate structures. But, trying to out-do each other, both projects end up tumbling down. To finish the competition, they decide to call a truce, learn to work together and become friends!
Video Instructions
Video #1: For a more in depth understanding of the books, we have provided a video retelling an in-class story. Each pass through the text or illustrations allows students to dive deeper into the story’s meaning, preparing them for more complex narratives down the road.
Video #2 & Worksheet: Parents may print the worksheet corresponding to the story. In the second video, Ms Liann will guide students through completing the worksheet. Younger students will learn the appropriate sizes, shapes, and sounds of letters. Older students will learn the spelling of new words, helpful phonics rules, and how to write in complete sentences.
